Clothing - I have caved in many areas of Europe and this is the first place that asks you to wear your own clothing without providing a protective over suite. There are very few people in the world who have good water proof material that they don't mind getting torn or shred on the rocks in the caves. To enjoy... More

Thank you for taking a moment to submit a review. We are happy to hear that you chose to visit Horne Lake Caves, and particularly happy to hear that your interest in caves has you seeking them out around the world -- that's cool :-) There have been many discussions about coveralls for clients during our 28 years of operation.... The 3 hour wet and wild tour was fun (albeit not very wet or wild), but a little slow paced. Next time I would do one of the extreme tours in the summer, or just rent equipment and go on my own.

Easy drive from Qualicum Beach. The road in does get a bit greasy , but nothing too bad. Certainly worth it in spite of a few potholes. The surrounding area is beautiful. Easy up hill hike for our kids ( 3 and 7). We just went in the main cave and it was a very fun experience. It won't blow... More

We booked the 2 hour tour on line and really enjoyed it. The place is well off the beaten path and while the road is a bit rough in places the journey is worth it, just don't wash the car before you go. We opted for the $3 headlamp upgrade and the women also bought some rubberized gloves. You can... More

Yo have to book a reservation on line before you go to the caves. We decided on the middle of the road two hour tour as our first caving experience. We had a group of four so we got 10% off! When you arrive you get fitted with a helmet with a light which you have to wear the whole... More

This is a truly wonderful experience underground. There are several levels for all adventurers including my 63 year old body and my 9 year old granddaughter. The staff were very careful and patient with all the questions and concerns. Gravel road not the greatest but all worth the effort. She cant wait to try another level next year!

Excellent experience. Nick is a very knowledge guide. Nick explained the formations in the cave .Showed us the fossils on the way to the cave . We turned off the head lamps and now total darkness in the cave gives a whole new meaning to when the lights go out. Great place to visit.

Had a great time exploring Riverbend, Main and Lower caves; a 3-hour adventure with Kile and Alex. Our guides were very knowledgeable, safe and respectful. I learned a lot and truly appreciated the opportunity to try different ways to explore these caves. Amazing!

It is a very bumpy ride all the way up to the cave. Just drive slowly and You will eventually arrive there. There is a campground 1 km before the cave exploration centre. My family decide to go for the 2 hours riverbend cave tour. It's very educational for my kids. We are all well prepared for the cold weather... More
