I have skied many places in Canada and Kimberley has some of the best groomers I have skied. They have many long blue/ Black groomers that are great every day. The back side of Kimberley has some awesome long bump runs that are a cardio challenge even for the most in shape skiers. There in few true double black runs... More

In reading some of the reviews I read about the hill being busy and long lines and only 2 cashiers, granted this is true for about 3weeks of the season, during Christmas and Alberta family week. As a permanent resident of Kimberley, the mountain has more than enough lifts and cashiers considering the volume on the average day. Most of... More

Great family trip. Lots of "cruiser" runs for kids and grandma. Good ski school, and friendly rental staff.

Bargain when you buy a buy one get one free ticket from Costco. Loved the Mountain friends tour of the mountain. Local guides took us on Blue and green runs so that we got to know the runs. They also gave us a little history lesson of the mountain and area.

I have now skied all 13 major resorts in BC, plus a number in the USA and Europe. So I have a few runs under the belt to make fairly unbiased comparisons. First off is to recognize Kimberley is not 'big league', but it has more than enough positives to make it a worthy destination. This is, first and foremost,... More

White looking into which ski resort we were heading to we sought input from the locals from Invermere and Fairmont. We were politely dissuaded from the the groomed ice of Panorama or busy Banff. Two skiers independently told us Banff is too crowded and Panorama had not gotten as much powder as a place called Kimberley or Fernie. We drove... More

The rental line-up was interminable, but after that everything got better. And that was related to the start of a university break-week or something. It also took quite a while at reception to go through all of the computer-work for our pre-ordered RCR cards. The nice woman was working away diligently, and teaching some of the newer staff how the... More

I love the resort and the family atmosphere, but the amount of lifts and people is terrible. They say they have 5 lifts, but they really only have 3. You have to take the main lift constantly which is crowded. The other lifts are poorly designed and old. All the lifts need to move quicker. They should DEFINITELY add more... More

We had an excellent time skiing here. the terrain was great. There was a variety of runs and as a family we love to ski together , but our skill levels vary, and we were able to stay together for the most part as there was good runs and then the glades beside so we could do our own type... More
