If you have never taken a western Prairie ferry then try this. Expect a wait, this is not a quick, scheduled event by any means. Chat with the other tourists and enjoy. The ferryman is very friendly and chatty.

Drumheller Alberta has lots of history and local charm with some amazing scenery thrown in for good measure. This historic water crossing with wires on weights and pulleys lets you cross the way they did when the coal mine was open. Fun experience.

This is a small cable ferry to cross the river, it only take 5 minutes to cross and it free. We were the only vehicle on the ferry when we crossed. The loop Road is a great way to see the area.

It was an experience to go on the car ferry which bikers and other cars. It was free and only took about 10 minutes. Saves a bit of time travelling around by road and a great service for locals and tourists.

A cute little ferry ride that forces you to pause and savour life more slowly. A nice option to constantly zooming around on highways. The ferry captain was very chatty and friendly to everyone on board. We also had time to talk to fellow passengers,...More

A free, short ferry ride across a shallow river. I found it disappointing that the man running the ferry was not overly friendly nor did he seem to know anything about the ferry.
