We've been here a fee times over the years and they keep improving it. We did a lot of activities in Drumheller but the kids said this was their favourite :)

This is a world quality museum, definitely worth the visit if you like nature, dinosaurs, science. this is a relatively quick road trip from Calgary , 1.5 to 2 hrs each way. Not that expensive can't recall the amount but it was def worth it.

Our family goes here yearly and there are always new exhibits to see. The videos, both in the auditorium and the ones along the way, are child-friendly and informative. My son (kindergarten) loves it here so we've visited Drumheller the last 3 years and, given that the museum isn't large, the curator has done a good job of making it... More

Having been in the Rocky Mountain area of Canada for some two weeks, we were ready for a change of scenery and boy, did we find it! About 1.5 hours drive out of Calgary in the heart of the Alberta Badlands, we came upon this hitherto unknown to us gem. Drumheller, the nearest town, sits in the centre of what... More

We went on a warm long weekend day. We meant to get there earlier but were about an hour behind schedule. Line was a little long but moved very quickly and every few minutes staff came around to let you know approx how much longer still your section of the line got though. And line was much much longer when... More

I have been to many museums and exhibits portraying prehistoric material but in my opinion, the Royal Tyrrell is the best of them all. The exhibits are very well laid out, informative and at the same time, visually engaging. It is smartly designed for the visitor to go through a "time travel" to different eras of the planet. The visitor... More

The parking lot was full when I got there at 10:30 it the morning. Totally lucked out and found a spot in the back. Was very happy to find the spot with all the cars driving circles in the parking lot. The line for the tickets moves slow. They rally need more booths to get people in. There was not... More

Parking lot full but after finding a space, the museum was awesome. I was never dinosaur person but still very very interesting. Hard to fathom these are real bones found pretty well outside the museum.

Myself and my partner love museums, especially any involving dinosaurs but we really weren't impressed by this one! We have been to the museum in London and their dinosaurs are much more impressive! Over all it's very over crowded and very expensive for what it is.. Needs updated also!
