Deep in the Canadian Badlands, a location famous for its prehistoric attractions, lies a hidden valley where the events of a not-so-distant past echo, a place where ancient Israel is reborn and you can experience, "the greatest story ever told." The 14,000 who come each July are moved to laughter and tears by the dramatic portrayal of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Canadian Badlands Passion Play is performed by great actors and occurs in a natural amphitheatre. The acting is always great and because there is audience participation (of sorts) it feels like the audience is part of the play. It is quite amazing!!

Seeing the gospel acted out in the backdrop of the badlands was amazing. Brings a whole new dimension to the story. Be sure to check the weather before you go so you can be prepared and bring a cushion as you sit on wooden benches.

we drove 6 hours to see this play and it was worth every kilometre! the play is done in the badlands and they use all the hills around the stage as part of their setting; The story line is awesome and I will see it again!

My mom and I went to this our first night in Drumheller and we were absolutely astounded. The amphitheatre was huge and the set was very impressive. We were seated near the crucifixion which I thought was the better end to be seated on honestly. We were in the front row as well. The seats are hard to sit on... More

The Badlands Passion Play is an experience not to be missed. This year was the first year of the new script and yes, there were some technical difficulties and there is some polishing to be done but believe me the Directors won't rest until it is as profound and inspiring as the 2015 show. The cast (mostly made up of... More

Yesterday we went to our first Badlands Passion Play in Drumhellar. This is not just a play or a performance, this is an EXPERIENCE! Oh my goodness, the stage was in the setting of the Badlands hills and it was surreal to see angels and demons on their tops at various locations and stages of the play, as well as... More

We were pleased that we were directed to our seats even though we showed up 6 minutes late . (Traffic on Hgy 9 was very slow due to the Highways crew painting the middle line on the Hgy ) .We were very impressed with Caleb Gordon who played Jesus this year. It is very nice to learn of Caleb being... More

This is the 3rd time that I have attended to Passion Play over the years. All of the performances have been a little different but all very enjoyable. The actor/actresses do a great job each year to put off a memorable experience. The venue and the atmosphere that surrounds them is just amazing especially for this particular performance - very...
