Deep in the Canadian Badlands, a location famous for its prehistoric attractions, lies a hidden valley where the events of a not-so-distant past echo, a place where ancient Israel is reborn and you can experience, "the greatest story ever told." The 14,000 who come each July are moved to laughter and tears by the dramatic portrayal of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This was my first passion play, and i was incredibly impressed. The performance was lovely and high quality, with the cast reciting the entire book of John to tell their story. I found it to be quite powerful and the setting to be terrific.

The Canadian Badlands Passion Play is performed by great actors and occurs in a natural amphitheatre. The acting is always great and because there is audience participation (of sorts) it feels like the audience is part of the play. It is quite amazing!!

Seeing the gospel acted out in the backdrop of the badlands was amazing. Brings a whole new dimension to the story. Be sure to check the weather before you go so you can be prepared and bring a cushion as you sit on wooden benches.

We are a group with 4 kids aged from 6-12. Without limited knowledge of bible story , will the play be interesting enough to draw their attention ? Will there be bloody scenes involved? How long will the show last ?

Our performances last 3 hours in total and that includes a 20 minute intermission. Over the years we have found that the performance holds a child's attention (they need to be 6 and over to attend) as there is so much... More
