An interesting pace to visit when the rain pours! We spent over an hour here. There is an interesting fossil section, a good first Nations section, and wonderful photos and albums on early history and settlement of the area.

We could not believe how extensive this museum was considering the size of the town it was in. It was so packed with facts, artifacts and unique items. Cost was by donation.

to sum up the history of this part of Vancouver island would be a daunting task for anyone...but the Courtenay and district museum does it very well. Entry fee is by donation and once inside...you get a feel for what this area must have been...More
