My go-to place for a run or bike during the week after work. On summer days, the place feels 10 degrees cooler and smell of tress in the air is amazing. For me the key takeaways from this place is less crowded and noise free from traffic. It is also a great place to walk your dogs or go horseback riding. There is an artisan aquifier in the middle of the park and the water tastes great.

great bike trails and excellent place to hike too. there is no cost involved and you get a great experience in nature. Easy to access from the main road too.

2nd visit to Vancouver. My friend said next time you are over I'll take you to a little park not far from where I live. I love to move away from all the tourist attractions & find out where the locals go & what they like to do. Loved this park, so close to homes, major roads, & shops but you would never know it. Great bike tracks, beautiful walking trails, yummy huckleberries, loved the cool & quietness of the park. Just a lovely place to be taken to away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Would love to walk through here again, just too far right now! At least I have the photos of this lovely memory.

Lovely forest with lots of trails. Always nice and quiet, never any crowds.
You can access from 64th Ave at the north or 10th Avenue at the south. There are some wider trails, some very narrow forest trails and also a "meadow", a grassy field area witih some benches.
It's not a place for a big family picnic, sweeping views or for a swim. It's a place to go if you want a quiet walk thorugh a beautiful old growth forest with huge Douglas Fir trees. Dogs will love it.
Be aware: Some trails are steep. Also it's quite popular with mountain/BMX bikers so be aware. Some of the smaller trails wind around a bit confusingly.

Watershed park in North Delta is a great venue for biking and walking . It is shaded on a hot summers day . There are several trails to choose from . Definitely worth a visit .

I love taking the kids into the mountains and forest but sometimes we're just not up for an often hour+ commute from Ladner. Watershed Park is a nice local compromise. My first time here with the kids was a couple of years ago and we hiked in from Kittson parkway. A nice gentle slope with lot's of creatures and plants to see. The highlight was an owl that swooped overhead and parked in a nearby tree.
The second time here was with our bikes. We parked at Pinewood Elementary and rode down from there to the meadow where we had a picnic lunch. A few tables spread around the area. The wife escorted the kids to Highway 10 via the meadow trail while I biked up and moved the vehicle. In hindsight I should have parked off highway 10 where the trails are less steep for my youngest. There is a nicely graded trail on this end that appears to connect boundary bay to the Fraser river. Looking forward to exploring that someday with another picnic. =)

A great place for a hike, or a walk with your dogs, also horseback riding, and biking! The location is very central, 20 minute drive from the US/CDN border, the Vancouver airport and BC Ferries, Tsawwassen terminal.

Still some snow on the ground showing signs of winter. Sun shining bright. Spring's not far off. Great day for the dog & I to spend family day together in nature. The trails weren't very muddy, considering all the rain & snow last week. Friendly people and dogs enjoying the afternoon. Great exercise with just a stroll up and down the hills in the woods. Fresh air & sunshine made me feel great!
