Kicking Horse has attracted rave reviews after just seven seasons for its awesome vertical, deep powder and spectacular terrain mix. With an express gondola accessing over 4100 ft (1260m) of vertical, you’re bound to ski and ride an impressive feat of terrain comparable to only that of heli-skiing. Coupled with summer activities such as mountain biking, wildlife education, and alpine sightseeing, this is a place where the stories are almost too tall to believe.

We have done a few activities at the Kicking Horse Resort. My favourite activity is visiting the resident Grizzly, Boo. The tour guide explained the importance of Grizzlies in our ecosystems today and explained how humans create most of the Grizzly problems themselves (garbage, feeding,...More

Gondola ride up the mountain very nice and staff very pleasant, make sure to bring a light jacket as it can be chilly on the mountain top. Been on other gondola rides and some views are better and some are worse. Not a bad option...More

We stayed in the glacier lodge which was convenient and comfortable. The resort is small, not very busy. There is good xc riding close in the moonraker system as well as the lift served riding. The double black cafe had great burgers and local beer...More

Boo was asleep from 10 am till 16.15 pm but it was a very hot day. Afther his nap he went looking for food and took a dip in the pool. Nice to see, interesting information from the staff.

Overpriced and unclean. We initially were put in a B suite which had a terrible smell and a patio covered and caked in bird dung. Clearly the patio had not been cleaned for a very long time. There is no air conditioning and the rooms...More

We stayed at one of the condos our deck was overlooking the rockies, a hot tub to soak in after a day of adventures.Just stunning. We visited the bar at the base of the mountain which was lively and full of friendly neighbours.

I am mid-fifties, overweight and haven't ridden a bike for a few years but was totally yearning to try out the mountain biking - you take gondola up with a specialized bike and ride the trails/roads down. Rented the bikes on the hill - they...More

I agree. I don't know how busy it will be but as you know your plans it's better to get it booked in. We had to make a reservation and the mountain itself wasn't that busy when we went.
