Nice short hike to Petroglyphs. Lake was fairly peaceful and quiet. We primarily came to see the Petroglyph panel and enjoyed the quietness of the park as it was middle September in the early morning. Peaceful and the panel is fairly impressive. Lots of petroglyphs for those who enjoy them.

Easy hike, free parking, washrooms near by, can see the Mars Bombers across the lake and the petroglyphs are extremely well preserved. Worth a visit.

This is a nice easy short walk from the parking lot in the provincial park. Lovely spot and easy to see.

There is a short (1/2 mile) walk to get o the petroglyphs, you then walk onto a pontoon tethered to the lake shore to see the petroglyphs. Definitely worth the walk.

This is a very interesting historical site, is best viewed later in the day. They are somewhat worn so unless the sun hits them just right they are hard to see.

We dropped by this place as we were on the way to Tofino. There are only 3 drawings and depending on the direction of the sunlight, they are somewhat hard to see. They are interesting but not enough to travel there just to see them in my opinion. However if you need a break while on Route 4, they are... More

These petroglyphs which date back thousands of years are fascinating. Sadly, time is taking its toll (weather and lake water). It would be good if some group could take steps to prevent further deterioration.

A short flat walk through the trails along the water , suitable for all walking levels and wheel chairs that can manage the light gravel trail. Great for a quick dip in the water in the summer off a small dock with a ramp (not sure if a wheel chair can access the dock). Fun for the whole family, a... More

An easy 1k round trip to the petroglyphs is well worth the walk. They're an incredible bit of history, and so easily accessible. I used it as an opportunity to break up the long drive to Tofino. Sproat lake offers great picnic areas and swimming too - definitely a great spot for a lunch break.
