This was a complete surprise!
There was so much to see and it was really well done
You really could get a feel for how it might have been back in the day
Well worth the $16 admission
We spent around 2 hours there
Would totally recommend you make a stop there

This was our second visit to the Ghost Town. We LOVE it! My husband and kids 13,10,7 get such a kick out of this place. The history is super cool to see, the kids love the creepy mannequins and the haunted house train. So fun!

Ghost Town doesn't do justice to this place. We spent 4 hours here plus a meal. There are buildings full of old materials and some well-labeled museum-like exhibits. They've moved many different kinds of historic buildings here from around the area. The train barn is possibly larger than the Revelstoke railway museum and you can walk through many of the passenger cars and a caboose. There is a "haunted" car for older kids' enjoyment. With saloon, black smith, chinese laundry, hardware store, jail, etc. Good variety. They also have classic old cars and old buggies.

This place is not worth the stop (And please AVOID actually staying at this hotel at all costs!!! It's Terrible).

This ghost town consists of completely random buildings, of very little historical significance and props inside that have zero historical accuracy (ie general stores from early 1900s would have spice shakers I used to have in the 1980s). It's just a bunch of buildings and stuff that the original owners (who appear to be complete hoarders) just bought and put on display.

And then there's this train ride every hour that you pay extra for. It takes you through the woods, and you see one display at the end. The conductor literally didn't even greet any of us waiting for the ride. No explanation of any of the history, anything we were looking at (which wasn't much), no nothing. It was laughable at how bad it was. He didn't say 1 word.

There's also a Halloween 'ghost' train inside which is honestly terrifying with ZERO warnings that kids shouldn't enter.

Drive right past it, as you probably have dozens of times. It's not worth the stop, nor is the hotel.

This is a hidden gem! We love the atmosphere of the hotel and all the activities for the kids. The pool is warm, the lake is beautiful. The ghost town is super neat and just amazing with all the stuff that has been erected from the past. Thank you to the family for maintaining this hotel so well over the years.

We are a family with teenage boys and we enjoyed a visit to this cute attraction. It made us feel like slipping in to the pioneer era. We received a discount because we stayed at the hotel beside it.

Amazing place and nice to learn so much history. The displays little dusty and old but with so few visitors must cost so much to try keep on top of it. We stayed in the hotel so got discounted entrance. Bit creepy ha ha so made sure out before dark!!
We thought it so nice that somebody wanted to save all these old building and keep them in an authentic town like place. Well worth a visit.

This was one of the highlights of our week long vacation. It's actually quite amazing how many different historical things they've saved and had shipped to/rebuilt in this historic village. Well worth the price of admission. If you have any interest at all in history, this is a must see attraction.

Stopped here en route from Sun Peaks to Revelstoke. Interesting and popular place, even though it was pushing 35C. Selection of historic gold-rush and railway-construction era buildings with all manner of period artefacts and some slightly creepy mannequins. Also a collection of old trains and carriages in the roundhouse. Look out for the Bottlehouse, Joe’s hut and the Schoolhouse rules for teachers.

They just collected stuff and put it together without any rhyme or reason. Things together they are not even in the same century. Last time the place was cleaned was 20 years ago. Unbelievable how dirty it was. Not maintained or taken care of.
