Due to Canada's 150 Birthday you can get (online) a FREE visitors pass for all national parks. We used our pass to enter Mount Revelstoke yesterday. Due to snow being at the top of the mountain you can't access the very top. There are a...More

The parking lot was full of Subarus with bike racks and we saw a lot of very fit people hiking, biking, and running. This was originally Canada's most famous hill for ski jumping and starting in July, the new interactive ski jump feature will open.

It seemed like a really nice park. Unfortunately, due to our late arrival (we drove over from Vancouver), the wet weather, and the time of year (much of the road was closed due to snow), we didn't get to see too much.

We drove up half way as the road at the top was still snow covered in June. Once we got to the snow line it was well worth the effort. Stunning scenery.

On our way to Calgary, we chose to travel Highway 1 through Revelstoke National Park. We saw majestic mountains: some with snow and others with rushing water falls. Also magneficient pine trees rising from canyons along side the highway. At one point, glaciers sparkled in...More

So many sights to see, and so little time to see them. Allow at least 2 to 3 days in this area, as you will not run out of places to go and things to do. Winter is most spectacular, on into early spring.

Accessible even in the depths of winter. Trails lead up the mountain past the old ski jump and a bit of sporting history. Great views across the valley from the trail. Bring your gaiters and snowshoes, the snow can get deep!

You can drive your car almost to the top of the mountain. While this does take away from the mystique and adventure, it also opens the park up to those who might not be able to do a big hike. An easy detour with minimal...More

At the end of May we were able to drive up part of the Meadows in the Sky Parkway and there was only 1 walk accessible : the inspiration woods trail in the lower part of the park.

I enjoyed several different walks at the summit area of Meadows in the Sky Parkway. The map that I was provided at the bottom of the parkway was the most informative map I found during my entire journey through Canadian National Parks. The Parkway is...More

Almost certainly. However, this is a fairly high altitude location, so the weather can be unpredictable. Early snow is always a possibility, but even with light snow the trails will still be open. Make sure you are geared up... More

By the way I recommend you bring bug spray. We had it and had no problems but saw many people without and it was a problem.
