The ‘Meadows in the Sky’ Parkway sounds like, and is, one of the most attractive drives in North America. To find this 25km circular scenic drive, you need to visit Mount Revelstoke National Park, in British Columbia. Go in mid-August and you will be rewarded...More

A winding mountain road takes you up to the trails surrounding the meadows. An easy hike thru some really nice scenery and up to the lookout where you can see for miles. Bring bug juice tho as they can be brutal.

We drove up the Meadows in the Sky Parkway as far as possible and enjoyed the views over Revelstoke village and the surrounding mountains and valley from each view point along the way. Unfortunately we could only drive a bit over half way to the...More

The road up to the meadows is a twisting and windy paved road from the which the views just get bigger and bigger as one drives up. It is only a short walk from the shuttle drop off to the old Fire Tower Lookout at...More

The area has beautiful views, it is clean & well maintained. The trails are well marked & were safe to travel. Parking is limited at the top so we would recommend going early & don't forget to take bug spray

You must do this when in Revelstoke, even if you can't do the hike to the top, there are plenty of other walks plus a shuttle service to get you half way to the top. Glorious scenery, we were lucky as the autumn leaves were...More

Seriously, we did not encounter any, although a couple of juvenile bears were strolling around the area the day before. The Park Rangers do a great job informing visitors about the area and the bears! We took a shuttle bus up the mountain and wandered...More

Will wildflowers be in bloom in mid June?

Because we have had a great deal of snow this year, you may find that even getting up to the 'meadows' this year could be very challenging due to the large amount of snow at that elevation - especially in June.

Hello I have been looking at the national parks website and I'm just trying to clarify: Is the road open only partially in June due to snow? This is the time we will happen to be going past Revelstoke national park so we don't have much choice. Would it be worth trying this road if it is only partially open? Thanks a lot

When we were in Revelstoke in June the road was partially closed because of snow. The drive up to the point where the road was closed was ok but not special. We walked the Inspiration Woods Trail at the start of the drive... More
