The tour is really well organized. Gordon was a great guide , knowledgeable and friendly. Although we all know how things work from high school , it's a real neat tour to see the massiveness and complexity of it all. Really cool

This is my second Canadian Hydro dam visit. It was too bad that the air was smokey that day. I took the self-guided tour. All levels are accessible by elevator.

The visitor centre and dam tour were very interesting. Our 10 year old granddaughter enjoyed it. She also liked the hands on activists available.

Bring from Alberta, I didn't realize this was going to be a real hydro dam rather than one of many small country dams scattered throughout Alberta. We almost didn't go This thing is huge! Not as big as Hoover dam but in the same league....More

A first-rate tour --- casual, comfortable, very informative. The engineering surrounding the dam is very interesting particularly the recent addition of turbine #5. The film about moving #5 to the dam is mindboggling given the logistics. Really good exhibits. Highly recommended unless dams just bore...More

Very interesting tour. Amazing amount of work went into planning and building this dam. They used 243,755 truckloads of cement. The concrete dam is 175 meters (574 ft) high and 457 meters (1,220 ft) long. The reservoir holds 5.3 billion cubic meters of water –...More
