A fun experience to get to Vancouver Island from Vancouver BC. Very efficiently operated, and have the greatest views too.

We have travelled with BC Ferries on many Ocassions over the years. They are consistently Clean, Safe, and Reliable. Sometimes when it is a Couples trip we just stay in our Car, recline the Seats, and take a Nap.

This time round, heading home, from Vic trip with the fam, we positioned ourselves in SeaWest Lounge, which we never did before. It is the greatest and reasonably priced at $14. I got myself a free tea and doughnut which are my favs, grandson got an AJ n doughnuts, cheese n crackers. Not to mention, it's the rules to be quiet in here, we were told upon entering. Which is np cuz we're all tired & wanted sleep on The reclining seats are amazing, it's nice, cozy n warm. The staff is very kind & helpful. I think it was well worth $14 esp. with the variety of free yummies oh and private clean bathrooms. Go for it!

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are so glad you enjoyed spending your crossing in the Seawest Lounge. It is definitely a great place to grab some snacks and a snooze. The doughnuts are my favorite as well! We look forward to welcoming you onboard again soon! We missed our reservation cut off time by 4 minutes and they wouldn't let us board our reserved ferry.

Oddly enough, on the way over from Twassen to Swartz we arrived 15 minutes late of cut off but they let us board our reserved ferry anyways with zero issues.

The attendant at the Swartz Bay side was very rude and unhelpful.

After being delayed an hour, found the staff a bit rude as they closed all food and beverage services off close to an hour of our arrival. My young son and I thought we would go back to our vehicle and wait for the long lines to subside before we got some food.
We were told that even the pre made sandwiches and other snacks weren’t available as they crew had already cashed out.
It’s not that hard to have someone ringing customers through at anytime.
Glad we pay these guys wages when all we require is a bit of respect in times like these.

Hi there, I apologize for your experience onboard regarding the food and beverage services. I understand how the line-up for the Coastal Cafe can be quite long at the beginning of the sailing, I have stood in that line myself. The Coastal Cafe does limit service close to the docking time so the crew has time to perform their other duties and get ready to serve the next sailing. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Thank you for taking the time to review. We look forward to welcoming you next time you sail. Kind regards, Catrina M - Customer Care BC Ferries

Great trip! I interacted with 6 different staff members; all were pleasant, cheerful, and able to help me. Impressive, as it's the last trip of the day, & I'm sure they were all tired. The burger was decent, and I lucked out with fresh, hot French Fries!

Morning Ferry trip from Vancouver to Victoria is great. There is gift shop inside ferry. Didn't buy ticket online as it's cheaper to buy on the spot. We wait around 45 minutes until departure. In waiting area there are restaurants, gift shops. This is great so nobody get bored. Took 1.5 hours from Vancouver to Victoria.
We completed our journey in Vancouver island and returned to terminal around 5:30pm. This is 1.5 hour before scheduled 7pm sailing. Once we paid for our tickets, the ticket attendance told us that 7 pm is full and we'll get 9pm. Our car needs to line up with everyone. There is no turning back. The only place open is 1 snack store. If I knew we would stuck for 3.5 hours, we will buy dinner before we arrived here.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience. I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Victoria! I'm sorry to hear that you were not impressed with the dining options at the Swartz Bay terminal. We are currently undergoing renovations to the Land’s End Café in order to provide more selection for our passengers, which are expected to end in late spring or early summer of 2023. We look forward to welcoming you onboard again soon! Kind regards, Amelia T – Customer Care BC Ferries

Besides the crew messing up in which we missed 2 ferries, this was a bad start. The 545 was running late, so we told we may make it. They put us with the big rigs even though our little trailer was no higher than our small truck. They forgot about us or just messed up and we missed the 815. We were first told we couldn’t go on the car deck, because we were towing I assumed, but then they ended up putting us on the car deck⁉️ It was handled poorly, and we ended up on the 1045pm sailing, and got home at 3am.
One more thing BC ferries, eating yogurt on a wooden spoon? Try it, it’s ridiculous, give us back proper utensils, you obviously have the means to wash dishes‼️

Hi there, Thank you for bringing forward your concern. The safety of our passengers and crew is our priority. Due to the nature of the marine industry, there are circumstances such as adverse weather, unexpected mechanical difficulties and/or extreme traffic volumes that can cause unforeseen delays. Please know that it is never our intention to inconvenience our passengers, but rather to provide the safest service possible. I understand your frustration, as delays in loading and sailing can be disruptive to your travel plans. We know passengers depend on a reliable ferry service, and I am sorry to hear we have not met your expectations. As for your comment on cutlery, we will unfortunately not be returning to proper dishes and cutlery use at this time due to our current labour and resource shortage. We look forward to welcoming you on board under improved circumstances. Kind regards, Manna S - Customer Care BC Ferries

We took the ferry from Vancouver to Victoria by foot. It was a great experience. We purchased a breakfast and a salad in the ferry, and the price was fair.

Hello Onki, Thank you so much for the 5-star review! I am very glad to hear that you had a great experience on your journey with us. Personally, I look forward to dining onboard the ferry, because I get to spend my time onboard enjoying a nice meal :) We offer a variety of food options, and the scenic view adds a unique touch! BC Ferries operates over 20 routes on the West Coast, so I welcome you to explore our other routes as well. Thank you again for your positive feedback. Great trip. Loved how accommodating they were to the passengers on the trip. We went with 3 adults and 2 children. Paid for a cabin and was a bit upset we only had the two beds and not the two bunk beds. The ship was sent to the maintenance yard after and we forgot a bag in our cabin that they were unable to track down and return to us. So that was very upsetting, other then that I will definitely travel
By ferry again

Hi there, Thank you for your review. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip. The Northern routes certainly offer a unique and scenic experience. On the other hand, I am sorry to hear we were unable to return your lost bag. Whenever an unclaimed item is found on board, it is kept at the home terminal. I understand how upsetting it must have been to not be able to track down the location of your bag, due to the vessel going directly into maintenance. Thank you for providing your feedback. We look forward to welcoming you onboard under improved circumstances. Kind regards, Manna S - Customer Care BC Ferries
