This stop is more about the history rather than an actual experience like a traditional museum. We love trains so for us this is just a fun stop for us to explore by the water.

The Brockville Tunnel began construction in1854, completed on New Years eve 1860, right around the time Wyatt Earp was making a name for himself in Kansas! The railway connected with the Canadian Central in the late 1870's and amalgamated with CP Rail in 1881. Coolest thing I have done here so far...

For Railroad buffs and St. Lawrence historians the tunnel under the city of Brockville should not be missed. While the tunnel is not open in its entire length, the small amount that is open is worth look at and reading about the history of the tunnel and Block house park where the tunnel is situated . The park was at... More

We as Canadian's need to be prouder of our history. Here is a unique piece of Canadian History that is being overlooked, and not well publicized. It was so cool to walk into the tunnel and see the river at the other end. Needs more publicity to promote this piece of our history!!

This attraction is reported to be the first Railway Tunnel in Canada!! Built to transport goods such a short distant but it took such a long time to build. Come see why

This may be the coolest, most unique construction I've ever seen. You can walk into the river end of the tunnel and see how it extends a mile under Brockville to the north, so rail cars could travel unimpeded across town during the heyday of this being a port town. Free.

This is a great piece of Canadian history that should be seen. It only takes a few minutes but is well worth it.

Not much to see here but to walk around the paths by the water and see this was worth it! Really pretty park area and waterfront paths. Go for a walk/drive around the main street areas too- really pretty.

This gives you some insite to Brockville's Marine and Railway history. There is no charge and it is self guided.
