A fun spot for kids to run around and see. In the Summer season the City of Owen Sound runs a four week music series which is always wonderful to enjoy on the warm summer nights.

We loved the little museum and the staff were so friendly. They also gave us some great suggestions about activities in the area for young kids.

I am glad and sad at the same time thinking about my visit to Marine -Rail Museum. Owen Sound of the past was bustling place with strong industry and busy port where the engines of the progress associated with industrial revolution were in full gear. As industrial revolution has lost its steam wheels made of steal with steam vessels have... More

Located along the banks of the river, it is the same building as the information centre. Admittance is by donation. Inside they have a variety of displays and outside an old railway carriage, an old tug and a few ship's propellers. They also have a steam whistle on the roof, which sounds at Noon, however it was only 11:55 when... More

Be sure to stop here to get your tourist information, and be sure to take a few minutes to tour the small rail museum. There is no charge, although a donation is requested. The Ancaster, which is the boat on the back of the last series of Canadian one dollar bills is located here.

Finally we visited this Museum. We always wanted to do this. Last August before our youngest son left for university we spent one afternoon to cruse this place. It was petty but very interesting and a great education for the whole family. Very nice done. I will go back and will show this Museum to our older son's over Christmas.... More

Our first visit to this interesting museum, including the rail car and new addition of a dining car (though not yet open to see inside). Lots of great memorabilia to see!
