This museum being in the Bishop home makes it really nice. There are plenty of original items in the home and some replicas of originals (to preserve the original item, like letters). But I was disappointed when I saw little signs saying the item I...More

It always is a treat to step into the past, figuratively, and see history come alive. I know that I have a deeper appreciation for and understanding of Bishop's WWI contributions as a result of this museum - and so does my daughter. I was...More

Great museum. It has a nice set up and good displays and information. It is nicely maintained and a great place to go if you want to learn about Canadian heritage or just want to do something interesting.

Self guided tour. Stairs. There is wheelchair accessible at the back of the house. Canada is so fortunate to have such a character. We are lucky to still have his boyhood home. I would have liked to see what young Billy's bedroom would have looked...More

We were driving by and visited the place briefly and read up on the information outside but didn't venture inside to tour the museum. Instead just sat on the porch. Definitely was woth the visit.

Houses as museums are often restored to a particular period, but other than some furniture in the parlour and dining room, the rooms were filled with displays about Billy, his family, and his era. I was impressed at the number of interactive touch screens all...More

Lots of interesting history in Billy Bishop's home. The staff were very accommodating. Medals, paintings, pictures, furniture and all from the original home. Loved that they included something on the Dieppe Raid, which my uncle was part of. He lived until 1980 and wouldn't say...More

I believe I recall seeing a wheelchair lift in the back room. This provides access to the main floor, but not sure about a lift to the top floor.
