Take the time when there is little or no traffic, like a Sunday to tour the town and see the murals. They tell the story of an Ottawa Valley town with great flair, and attention to detail.

As you walk through the town you can spot these huge murals which depict events that have happened in the town, such as the importance of the logging industry and the devastating fire.

We quite enjoyed searching, and photographing, the murals placed throughout Pembroke. We circled the downtown area several times trying to locate all of them. Sadly, we failed but did enjoy the effort and learned something at the same time.
