Quite nice park, good for a walk with dog, or for biking with kids. There is lake (actually not a lake but a dam), but the sand area is very small and usually terribly polluted with geese poo, to clean it they mix it with sand by a mashine. But still it is better than nothing, kids like there. For... More

The lake is perfect for kayaking, canoeing, or paddle boarding. And the campground is set up for you to enjoy the beauty of nature. Well appointed shelters and bathrooms are ample here. Clean and well maintained.Because it is operated by Grand river Conservation, If you have purchased a season pass at another G. R. S. A park you can use... More

Come one come all. If you live in waterloo or Kitchener and are looking for a place to get in touch with nature and forget you're in the middle of a city, check it out. Certain parts of the trail feel like you could be in Algonquin park or somewhere much more remote. This is only ruined by the faint... More

Our trip to laurel creek did not go as we had planned however in the end it turned into an enjoyable experience that I would recommend to my friends and family. To begin our trip, we looked online to the conservations website which was informative and helpful in letting us know the prices (which were very reasonable), the variety of... More

Since today was such a beautiful day, my dog and I decided to go for a walk in Laurel Creek Conservation Area. We had never been there before, and decided to shake things up in terms of our daily walks, even though I felt that $6.00 was a bit steep to pay for a walk. After paying our entrance fee... More

My friend and I recently went to Laurel Creek when it was a nice day. Temperature was at -1 and we had an enjoyable walk across the trails. We found that parking was easily found and accessible. There are many signs to direct you easily to programs and activities are offered. They keep their environment very clean and have strict... More

To plan our trip ahead of time, we went onto the website to look at prices, hours, as well as different activities that we could participate in. Unfortunately we found the website a little difficult to navigate as we were unable... More

Being a fourth year students at the University of Waterloo we should have known we had such an attraction in our very own backyard. Not having the luxury of a vehicle we found this winter wonderland to be fairly accessible by public transportation. For those with vehicles, this attraction has a fairly large parking area to service several visitors. The... More

Planning this trip was very easy, just a quick search of “Laurel Creek Conversation Area” on google and it took us right to the website. From there, there was a list of all the activities that we could participate in. Given the fact that it is winter time, we were limited to cross country skiing, snow shoe walking and hiking.... I recently visited the conservation area with a friend, intending to snowshoe, however due to the condition of the trails, we could not rent equipment. We walked the trails that Saturday morning instead. Our Journey We planned our visit pretty last minute; however, the public transportation was adequate to accommodate our trip. We took a 25-minute bus ride from the... More
