This was our first hike in Banff National Park and we enjoyed it very much. I recommend taking the “more difficult” path going to the waterfall. It is not crowded and has nice views. The two lakes are beautiful and so is the waterfall. Enjoyed.

Beautiful blue color! Definitely go in the hard trail and come back the easy trail. There are steep climbs near the waterfall and it is easier to go up theses instead of coming down these. There were rock climbers everywhere.

Definitely take the more difficult route. The waterfalls are worth it. The lakes are some of the clearest we have seen.

Great views, fun to watch the rock climbers at the top. The difficult hike is not really difficult. Went up the difficult and down the easy.

Beautiful hike! Took the easy route up. The views are incredible, with stunning blue lakes. Took approximately 2 hours. Wear good walking/hiking shoes.

My son (teenager) was too tired to go, so I left him. Glad I did! Was an enjoyable hike with a nice waterfall & 2 beautifully clear lakes. Was also cool to watch all of the rock climbers make it look easy!

I should have added that I took my 18 month old up in an ergo carrier and it was great. She could toddle around the ponds at the top and I got the great views. We did the easy hike up and the hard way down.

I believe that it is outside of Banff National Park in Canmore. Probably about 20-30 minutes.
