We are a small family-owned and operated Sled Dog Touring company running dogsled tours out of Canmore, AB in the Kananaskis Provincial Park adjacent to Banff National Park. We have been in operation for 15 years with the British Army our main client. We run 2-hour, Half-Day, and Full-Day. This year we have opened our Kennel for tours during the summer season so we can offer family-dog adventures year round. We specialize in smaller groups and encourage involvement so you can experience dogsledding like a real musher.

dogs + sled + mountains + trees...yeah!!

Did the morning tour through the woods. It was a blast, in a peaceful and nature-enjoying sort of way! A late-season run has its challenges - a bit icy and slushy in spots - but also benefits because the weather was fantastic (cool but not cold, brilliant blue sky and sun by the time we got to the mountain view).... My husband & I booked this tour while on our honeymoon last weekend. We had originally booked the night tour, but were told morning conditions were much better so we switched to the 10 am spot on a Thursday. Was originally a little disappointed in that but I'm glad we did it in the morning. We did the two hour... More

I am so happy that you enjoyed the tour! I was worried as it was a special time for you when we had to make the change but I was confident that as you hadn't dogsledded before you would really enjoy the views offered during the day. Congratulations on your recent wedding and we all hope to see you again... More

We had so much fun doing the dog sled today with my mom and two young kids. We had the chance to drive the unguided sled and it was amazing. The dogs were enthusiastic and so were the guides. Both Ian and Jan were attentive and they really enjoy what they do. We'd recommend the tour to our friends and... More

I highly recommend this excursion even for locals. We live in Edmonton and have been to Canmore many times but never tried dog sledding until today. It was a wonderful experience. Our guides Ian and Jan were enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgable. The dogs are treated very well and are well cared for. They love to run. Be prepared for wind... More

Had an amazing morning dog sledding with Jan and Ian. They were brilliant guides and really enthusiastic. The dogs were beautiful and clearly loved their work. The setting was stunning, across a frozen lake with not another soul in sight. The company were really flexible about me doing it alone. Loads of time to spend with the dogs and on... More

My 14 year old daughter and I spent the afternoon with Ian and Jan, and we enjoyed every moment of it. We loved that they knew all the dogs names and could tell us someone about each one of their personalities. They let us help with getting them out out of their crates, harnessed up, and ready to go. The... More

It was an absolutely amazing adventure. The dogs, as well as the guild were super friendly and fun to be around. The smaller group made it more personal and it enabled time to interact with the dogs. I highly recommend it.

We had a group of 7 of us on a Bachelorette weekend in Canmore and this was certainly the highlight of our weekend. Our guides were fantastic, the dogs were beautiful and it was just overall a great experience!! A warm fire with hot chocolate was the perfect way to break up the trip!

My wife and I did the 2 hour Mtn Musher tour and it was fantastic! Right from the start, I knew this was going to be a fun trip. We introduced ourselves to Jan and right away we were helping set up (optional if you don't want to). We harnessed the dogs and set them up in there appropriate positions... More

My wife and I took our 3 kids (9, 6 and 4) on the 2hr Mountain Musher tour and it was enormously fun! Our 9yr old son and I got to mush a sled (together) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Jan and the crew explained everything very clearly. We got to participate in setting up the sleds and interacting with the... More
