We received a very warm welcome by the staff, and while we were disappointed that no more tours were being offered (early October) we still thought it was excellent. Who knew there was so much to learn about osoyoos climate, wildlife, flora, etc. It was...More

We spent an hour exploring the Desert Center and were amazed at the diversity of this desert ecosystem. The variety of plants, insects, birds and animal life presented and explained was surprising and very facinating. Well worth the time! The walk was all on boardwalk,...More

We enjoyed the guided tour. Learned lots of information about the area, the plants and animals. It was really hot so go early in the morning.

We arrived in time for a tour by a local volunteer. Learned lots about this desert environment. Then he answered birding question we had.

A nice, long boardwalk trail. Bugs didn't bother us at all. The educational centre wasn't all that great, but the trail made up for it. Parking was easy.

We went for the 10 am guided tour. Our guide, Valerie, was marvellous! She was exceptionally knowledgeable, entertaining, and despite a larger than usual group size, projected her voice very well. The subtlety of the desert landscape would have been entirely lost without her. I...More
