We went to the Desert Centre but is isn't very good. There was a 1.5 km self-guided walk but it was rather monotonous. Nothing much new to see after the first 10 minutes. A bit of a waste of time, really.

I recommend the guided tour. Yes, you can walk it on your own but the information garnered from those tour guides is well worth waiting for a scheduled guided tour. And besides, it's free. Lots of parking. Easy access. It is entirely on a boardwalk...More

Pay to go on the trail and walk around the grounds. Do use caution though as there is Rattle snakes. Breath taking surrounding to take in
