A short drive out of town (10-15 minuets) this lake is a pretty cool sight! It will be great when you can walk down closer, however it was still pretty cool from up the top! There is no sign from the town side so you will more then likely miss it and have to do a U-turn to get here.

Spotted Lake isn't more than a pullout on the side of the highway at the moment, but it is an interesting natural feature. Take a moment to read about how the lake forms the individual pools, and the significance of the lake to the local tribes. There are supposedly plans to develop this stop into a more significant attraction that... More

It will be nice when they have more par King and better viewpoints to get closer to the lake. They are working on it.

A lake sacred to the First Nations, that has hundreds of separate pools of highly concentrated minerals. Never seen anything like it. We got there quite late in the day when the light was quite flat, even then it looked good. I would love to see it in different light as I imagine it would be great to see early... More

Very odd & very interesting all rolled into one. Best part of getting to see this natural occurance is that it is visible right from the highway! You can just pull over and see it from the comfort of your car! You can get great information from the Osoyoos visitors /Chamber of Commerce office. It is a must see when... More

We went through Osoyoos in October and stopped off at this lake. It is a stunning sight. There isn't any parking for the lake, but I believe it is a work in progress and a second phase will bring better parking, access and information about the lake. We found an information board about the lake about 1km further up the... More

This is really a unique place. Historically used by the natives for its medicinal value. Great lookout from the highway although you cannot get really close. Surrounded by desert like hills of scrub bush and sagebrush the contrast of the lake and surrounding is surreal.

As interesting as it is, it would be hard to classify the Spotted Lake as a true tourist attraction. Situated just off Hwy 3 a few kilometres from Osoyoos, it would be easy to drive straight past it. Parking is very limited and is just off the highway. There are informative signs at the locked access gate, but access to... More

The lake is quite pretty, but you can't really get to close. There are not many areas where you can pull off the Hwy, and there is a fence. But it is worth a quick stop and view. If you have a telephoto lens and have a a nice day, some good photo ops! Worth a stop if you are... More
