This is the BEST winery in the area in my opinion. Their Merlot is first class !! There are a couple options to dine at this winery and we have never had a bad experience at either. 1st class all the way.

Great visit. Educational. Give yourselves 2hrs non-rushed Reasonable entrances fee. Once into the habitat area.... the wak around is about 1hr. A rattle snake crossed our path.... You will see the warning signs all over to beware of rattle snakes.... generally around the rock areas. Too many photo ops.... loved them all. Worth the time to visit.... highly recommended.

Very warm day in early May when we entered the center. Rattlesnake warnings all over the entrance and grounds so my wife was certainly turned off. The display of the pit house was well lit but not many historical items were on display. A teepee outside with native music playing attracted me but the back was cut out for a... More

Cultural centres provide a window to the history of the people whose land you are visiting. Nk'Mip is no exception. Don't skip the introductory film as it gives a good overview of the Okanagan Indian Band history, told from the perspective of a young woman raised off-reserve but sent home by her parents to learn the old ways. It's powerful.... More

Wey Lim limt (hello and thank you) for your well-worded and accurate review of our Centre. You hit on a very important subject which is 'there are two desert centres in Osoyoos' and we focus on the Cultural component of the desert, the First peoples and the inhabitants of the desert life. The Osoyoos Indian Band is proud of the... More

The Cultural centre is a must see for people that want to learn more about the history, environment, floral and fauna, and the rich cultural heritage of this area! The building itself reflects the attitude of environmental stewardship and consideration of the groups that inhabit the region. Most informative and enjoyable.

The Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre was the first place we visited on our Trip to Osoyoos. We didn't travel there to drink wine....we traveled there to experience the culture and history of such a spiritual place, and to enjoy the beauty of nature. When we travel we want to experience the Local Culture, and learn about the local people and... More

The entrance fee is too high for what you get. It was all very interesting and a very nice hiking trail, but I expected a bit more for the price. When we entered there was an employee taking pictures of the Osprey. He seemed to take offence to a comment one of our group made about snakes (she is afraid... More

Thank you for your review. We are sorry you didn't have a pleasurable experience at the Centre. Our staff is trained to answer any question or comment about the 7 species of snakes and at times we become a bit impassioned about our desert creatures. If there were comments made in regards to harming a snake, even in jest, we... More

We were treated to a dance demonstration and story telling session that was very informative. The exterior has a nice walking path. Bring sunscreen and water as it can get very hot on the walk. The interior was interesting and helped us figure out an odd looking insect that we later encountered at our RV site which made is less... More
