Challenging workout. This is not steps, it is climbing over rocks, with some wooden steps set into the mountain. Bring lots of water and at least wear athletic shoes. I recommend hiking type shoes (boots or trail shoes). The site is accessible by bus from...More

we loved this hike in this beautiful city. Did it on my 50th birthday in under an hour. But you don't have to rush - anyone who is mobile can do it if you take your time.

A real gut buster, be prepared, do it in your own time and don't start late and remember you have to come down in the cable car, $15. Don't even think of eating up there unless you're desperate.

The Grind is a 3km climb that ascends 1000m. It is a challenging climb up rock and wood steps. Make sure you wear some good athletic footwear as there are sometimes slippery and wet conditions.

Take ur time and enjoy the hike. I did it as fast as I could. U can do it! But definitely take water. And buy a t-shirt at the top - gives the specifics -3000 steps, etc. Have fun!
