This place is a bit hard to get parking to go to so if you can park a bit away and walk to the beg. or start a different direction. It is very pretty and a kids park at the opening and dog friendly, easy trails can take strollers and other if needed wide enough for most of the trails... More

Live close by so our regular weekend spot with our Lab. Lovely place for her to meet up with her mates and have a swim in one of the pools, and for us to get off our bums

This is a well maintained and wide trail running along Mosquito Creek. There are lots of entrance points, some are dog on leash but there are long parts which are off leash. Wide enough for a stroller but some parts are gravel. The creek has lots of pools for the dogs/kids to cool off. Watch out in spring though, the... More

Having been in the area several times I thought it was time to explore the creek area. Parking is limited to street parking near 17th and Fell. There is a play ground in the area and open grass to enjoy. At the start of the path ther are portable toilets. The wide path is fenced all the way up to... More

A favourite with dog walkers, runners and walkers. Nice playground for children and a great basketball area for teens. Mosquito Creek is a very active large running creek WITHOUT mosquitos lol One can walk both sides of the creek, although one side is more rugged than the other. There is an Interior corridor as well for people wanting to avoid... More

I walk my dog here at least once a day as the trailhead is right at the end of my street. It is used mostly by locals and is a very popular spot for dog walkers, joggers and cyclists. Those with bikes be warned however - the bylaw is that cyclists can ride UP the trail, but are not allowed... More

If you want a nice mild walk in the woods, in the midst of a city, come to Mosquito Creek. You are walking uphill but at a decent grade. Best of all, dogs are allowed off leash on the upper portion of the trail.

I live in the area so I walk there frequently. Great place for off leash walks with your dog. There are two places where you can get doggy poo bags. Please pick up and dispose in the garbage cans please. One side has a gravel path, the other side is only partly maintained up until the big steel fence. You... More

This is my local walking trail and is a very easy, accessible trail. The bonus is that is well marked, relatively flat and can be extended to various lengths. The City portion is off leash for dogs, however the northern "District" portion is on leash. (Can I say stupid politics). Start at Fell and 16th and head north. When you... More
