We have rented kayaks from Takaya before. They are quite relaxed and friendly and it is beautiful up there. There was a bit of a mix up with scheduling as we had reserved two singles and ended up with a double. Getting boats back on schedule isn't completely under their control when renters aren't aware getting back may take longer... More

Although there was a bit of a wait to get our kayak, we had a great time exploring Indian Arm. With calm waters on a sunny day, this is one of the best excursions in the city.

Great condition of the kayak, the staff were very friendly and recommended some great spots to hit up. I booked the kayak thru their online booking system and was a bit disappointed when I found out that all online bookings are out of their Belcarra location and not Cates park. However, it ended up to work out in the end.... More

Highly recommend Takaya Tours for kayaking. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff, reasonably priced rentals and amazing scenery. Must visit before summer ends!

Rented a couple of kayaks on a sunny weekday afternoon. The staff were very nice, really easy going. We were out for 2 hours, fantastic scenery and a good workout for the upper body! You can head off to a nearby island or just have a leisurely paddle. The kayaks are very stable, very seaworthy. This side of Indian Arm... More

For a first time kayaker, they never tell you how much struggle and exercise is involved in those pretty instagram pictures you always see. It probably didn't help that my friends and I were always going against current the entire time for our 2 hour rentals. What started as a beautiful sunny day turned into a very ugly, windy, cloudy... We booked 2 double kayaks online and they were waiting for us when we got there, even though we were 25 min early. They gave us briefing and let us have the extra time. Super nice friendly people. Will certainly do it again.

The service was excellent. The staff had our boats ready on the beach and helped bring them from the water to shore. The kayaks were in good shape. I was very disappointed with the spray skirts, they were very old and water leaked into mine and my partners. It made for a wet and cold journey.
