Well curated and lots of interest on salmon canning industry, also good things for kids to see and enjoy. The area is also well worth a visit to wander around and walk up to Garry Point

This was an unexpected and unusual find. The cannery is well worth preserving as it is the last of a major industry in British Columbia. The old factory is extensive and has been authentically maintained - indeed there is the reek of creosote around. There...More

I was on a small-group tour of Vancouver that decided to add this cannery tour to our itinerary at the last minute, and I have to admit that I had my doubts about whether this was worth doing. Well, I'm so glad I didn't skip...More

Congratulations to the people who saw a future for this establishment once the cannery closed. This is a look back in time and history. Presentation is superb and display is so realistic. Staff are knowledgeable and there is a very nice gift/souvenir shop.

Dear Ian H, Thank you for your very kind review of your visit to our site. We too are grateful to the local Steveston community who had the foresight to save this part of Canada's west coast fishing history.

This was a great place to see and learn about the hardships of the so called "good ol' times" - which weren't as good as they sound, it seems. The Museum is a good starting or end point for a little excursion to Steveston Harbour...More

I find trips to cannery entertaining for a whole family, and very educational. Even kids as little as 3 can find it interesting.
