Last time I was here it was earlier in the day, when the fresh fish catches came in. That is a cool experience. Later in the day, things quiet down. Lots of construction around the heritage sites. Buildings and restaurants closed. Made for a nice...More

but of course, because it is so beautiful. it seems there may be a tipping point, when there will too many people and not enough steveston. most of it's charm is due to it being small, intimate, and scenic.

great spot to wander and take in the culture of a fishing port. We weren't there to buy any of the fresh catch, just wander around. Love the atmosphere especially on a misty morning. Lots of great potential for taking photos. Glad we found it

This is one of our favorite places to visit. There are a ton of great places to see, eat and enjoy a walk and see a lot. There are so many boats, places to eat and just a great place to enjoy being outside!

Several shops and plenty of places to eat. We didn't buy any fish, but the fish market looked great!

Worth visiiting if you are this end of town - public transport easy. Touristy but quite obviously a working fishing village - I liken it to a real day Cabot Cove!

Steveston is part of Richmond and is accessible by public transit. We've had friends visit from Burnaby with no car.
