A mindblower - alace to visit for anyone who goes to Russian Karelia/Lake Ladoga in summer! Monastery area with not-so-well-kept buildings and surroundings. But the athmosphere is magical...the main church is magnificient and the nature around the islands just great!

Where did you book the hydrofoil? We are Russian Orthodox Christians and would like to make a day trip to Vallam in May. Any info would be helpful. Thanks, Mikhail
