No charge for this park, which we appreciated very much. The garden is huge and you can spend a good chuck of the day here. Quite lovely with good walkways. There is an amazing number of ducks to delight you. Children will like this place, it has a playground and lots of room to run around. Our visit can in early spring, and there was still some lovely color.

A very fine garden which exceeded expectations. The admission is free, which is lovely; the grounds are great; it’s a great place to spend a couple of hours. The cafe serves good fare. The only shortfall is that if one does not have access to a vehicle, one must use a ride service, and Uber was rather expensive @ about NZD 90.00 / USD 55.00 for the round trip.

Last stop before our flight home and sadly only had an hour and a half. Fantastic garden packed with unusual plants, beautifully labelled hardly a weed in sight. Inspirationally laid out gardens and needs to be visited at different times of year to be fully appreciated. Hope I can return one day

We had a few hours to kill before our evening flight and spent them at the Auckland Botanical Gardens as it is conveniently only a 15-20 minute drive to the airport from there. It is a very large park so we only covered some of it in the 2.5 hrs we spent. It is well designed and fairly comprehensive as far as the plants and tree they have. Even if you you are not into the detailed botantical things, if you like walking around in nicely landscaped parks, this would also be recommended.

We spent a couple hours here, even though we opted to skip a couple places because of how wet the week had been. Even without many of the flowers (we went in winter) the place was still beautiful to see and experience. A nice walk, particularly in the morning.
