By our standards this walk up the hill was easy. There are benches along the way if one needs to sit and rest. The view at the top is wonderful! We wish we had brought a picnic, so we would have had an excuse to stay longer. There is a hidden beach down the back side. Beautiful!

A hike up is definitely worth the effort especially during dawn as one can feel the fresh crisp of morning breeze along with picturesque scenery. Although ambling up to the top might be a little challenging, it is a must to stop by and check this place out. You will not regret your visit here.

Uninterrupted panoramic views across the islands and to Auckland make the stiff walk up this hillock ('mountain') worth your while. You won't be disappointed.

A visit to Mount Victoria n Davenport is a great trip during a nice day. The Davenport communities around the peak allow you to see cool architecture from a century ago.

I've lived here for here's and this is the first time I've been here years and never been, the view was excellent and in a clear day I would say even better and a nice walk to clear your lungs, I love New Zealand

Top of the Mount gives a scenic perspective of Auckland and its surrounding suburbs. Iconic landmarks such as the Harbour Bridge and the Sky Tower are visible on a clear day. Also a full view of Rangitoto Island can be seen on the northwest of the mount.

Great view to Auckland city and out to Rangitoto Island. Over the harbour bridge out to the west of the city. Very narrow steep road to the top and limited parking. Watch out for the fitness fanatics running up the hill. An old gun is at the fort.

We caught the ferry over to Devonport and walked up to Mount Victoria Reserve (although you can also drive your car to the top). It was a steep but short climb and didn’t take that long. The views from the top are amazing. We didn’t have the best weather unfortunately, but I can imagine on a clear day that you... More

- Amazing views of Auckland skyline - Easy to walk - Can wear flip flops - Up a paved road - About 5-7 minute walk - Would be fine for kids - Just parked on the road down below - Can walk up or drive - Went to North Head Trail which was like a 5 minute car ride away
