The fort is beside the beach. Views are spectacular. There is a good walk around the fort and then a trek down to see the sea and trek back up. Evening would be better to visit as it is hot. But they close early. So...More

I visited this fort during our bike ride to Ranipuram. The Fort looks awesome by Sea beside it. Worth a visit.

The fort is imposing and must have seen good days. The view of the sea and Bekal beach is interesting. Entrance ticket is now Rs 25. There is no tour nor guide. V sad. Walk to the top can be tough.

You can go to the beach near Bekal fort. You can also go to the backwaters and take a boat ride. Being in Bekal and taking long walks itself is beautiful and calming. No need to tick the attractions on the list.

Yes the bekal fort is open in all days. But the Gate will close before 5:30 pm. please reach before 5:30 pm
