We turned up hoping to have a tour of the winery and were not disappointed, although it is better to book in advance. This is a small family run winery that concentrates on quality. It produces good wine at reasonable prices. Our tour was taken...More

Spectacular family winery where you feel passion. Their wines are spectacular. I remember very well the Miguel Merino reserva, gran reserva, la Loma and their brand new white wine line. The receiving and tastings are spectacular in an 18th century stone building. We had the...More

This is wonderful family run winery making some truly great wines. Of all our winery visits in La Rioja, this one was the best. Our guide, Erika, is the daughter in law of the owner. You could tell how proud they are of their bodega...More

Hardly known outside Rioja is the tiny village of Briones, for us its greatest claim to fame is that it houses MIGUEL MERINO WINERY. Set in an old mill built of stone the cellars are naturally cool, man made caves at constant temperature, we were...More

We organised a trip to the winery ourselves by emailing the owners. Erika, the daughter in law, was excellent in both arranging our visit and then giving us a tour (in perfect English) of certain parts of the winery, before we tried 4/5 wines in...More
