Lovely views from these ruins out towards the other Channel Islands. There is not very much left of the buildings and you need to be sure footed when visiting, but nevertheless what is here is interesting and worth coming to see. You turn down to the coast past the racecourse, which we never expected to see on Jersey. The castle... More

Well worth a visit for the views alone. Quite remote so own transport needed. Not suitable for disabled travellers due to uneven, rocky surface.

On the north West tip of the Island, beside the race track. These Old Ruins are interesting to walk around, I was imagining when it was built and how it must have been during the stormy weather. You can park easily for free and have a good walk around. Good for pictures too. Watch your step, its a long way... More

Grosnez Castle is small, but interesting to see. The views off the coast are lovely so worth a look. You can park really close to have a quick walk around. Wouldn't spent more than 15 mins there though

The story of the castle is interesting, not the least of which is a brief outline of the incredible engineering work that went into this building. However, not much - except for the entry arch and footing of the towers and two small accommodation rooms - remain today. Apparently, the stones were removed over time to construct newer buildings on... More

Built in the 13 hundreds, captured by the French and left as a ruin. There is not much to see as a lot of it has gone, but what is left is very well preserved. If you are feeling energetic you can walk down some steps to the signal station where you can see some amazing views or the waves... More

We like to visit here to take photographs of Plemont Bay (great views over the cliffs) and at sunset. It's an interesting place to walk around but is better on a calm day as can get very windy up there!

This is a good spot to feel the wind in your hair. The ruins are romantic and atmospheric, and there are great views from the clifftops. I tried to do some sketching but it wasn't working for me so just wandered about and enjoyed it, but it's a good spot for drawing or painting if you're that way inclined (think... More

It is a pretty cool bit of history. I am surprised that a castle from 1300's has parts still standing. The view of the sea is great as well. If you like history and castles this could be for you.

Only a little bit of castle left but good location for views - of other channel islands and France. Scary view down a gap in the cliff. Access to cliff top walks.
