This is a great trail. Ample parking. Close to town. Trail is well marked. Moderate difficulty. But the views are fantastic. The higher you go the better the views. Then comes a lovely walk in the forest.

Ran 7 miles in loops, nice area! Shady and rocky, lots of trees, great views if you climb the rocks. I went early so not as many people but I imagine get busier later in the day. I found parking close by.

I hiked for an hour before seeing another person. Alone on the mountain is awesome. Very well marked trails make it a great hiking place.

It is a Bi-State park because it goes both ways... Ca and Nv. On the Nv side you can catch the rim trail and hike up to a waterfall. (It is really just a creek pouring over some rocks so don't get you hopes up)....More

Amazing views of Lake Tahoe as you hike uphill. You can stop at the waterfall and be satisfied or plow ahead to the Rim Trail. 3-4 hours round trip to the top. Go early. It can get crowded.

Just finished hiking this park and well worth it!! Not too steep (hiking poles not necessary) and the views are amazing! Remnants of fire in 2002 but still spectacular. Different trails (elevation and distance) we did all.

one of the three times we hiked here there was a mention of a possible bear siting.....but we never saw anything. nothing to worry about here. too many people to keep the bears away.
