Thoroughly enjoyed our walk through this area (even in November). It has a tremendous amount of history with story boards along the way to explain the homes/residences along the paths. Easy for everyone and a very pleasant walk. I will come again!

Found this while looking for some beach spots for photos. What a wonderful surprise! The teacupful walk was filled with wildlife, cabins and great views. Plus there where so many squirrels to pose for pics.

My wife and i used to live in this area so we always like to bring newbies here for some exploring. Parking is easy to find, right off 89. Typically the lot is packed in the summer but not so much in the fall. A...More

Perched right on the lake, this site is a hidden gem. The staff gives tours in the summer. You can also wander around and get an education. Good signage. The location is amazing, right on the shore of the big blue lake. Indigenous wild plants...More

We came here because we are interested in historic houses and dog beaches! Our dog was not allowed inside the mansions for the tours (one of us stayed behind). We later did the great audio tour on our cell phone. The tour was very interesting...More

Unfortunately the buildings were closed for the season. We could still stroll in the parks and looks at the building architecture from outside. One can only imagine how the Baldwin family lived here in all it glory

When we were there the houses were closed for the season, however the grounds are open and well kept with good trails. It was a great hour wandering around seeing the grounds from the outside and exploring. Very scenic and enjoyable. Highly recommend.

We were initially disappointed that Tallac is closed for the season meaning we couldn’t go inside the buildings but you can still stroll the grounds of this fascinating place. If anything we enjoyed it more as the place was so quiet which added to the...More

It was closed for the season but still fascinating to stroll the grounds. Never had any idea these old estates from the early 1900s were even there.

There are dirt paths that I believe can be accessed with wheelchair but the historical buildings may not have ramps. Beautiful area to just go through and be in beautiful South Lake Tahoe
