Never before have I been so disappointed by such a large place like this. Firstly, for a "city with no winter", we were surprised to find pretty much nothing to look at (unless you just want to look at trees); the "Orchid Garden" had no orchids, and this went on throughout the park. But the transport system within the park... More

This Botanical Garden was right next to the resort which we stayed during our trip in Xishangbana and we won't miss the chance to visit this beautiful garden. In fact the garden was very large and you have to spare more than 4 hours if you really want to explore most part therein. The entry price was not cheap but... More

Entrance fee is quite steep with 104 RMB pp. (July 15) The place is large and has 2 trolley trails. One of 23.5 km and an other of 8 km. Instead of paying extra for a noisy and smokey (smoking is permitted) ride, we opted to walk. The gardens are beautiful with butterflies, birds and mosquitoes plentiful. (Don't forget your... More

The biggest botanical garden in the whole China, unique and well organized in setting, tropical forest, flowering plants garden, pine trees block, many more... The best part is the rain forest where you could get lost in time in the jungle. Amazing experience and it is a must if you are visiting Xishuangbanna. barely one hour drive from Jinghong airport.

I only spent one night here while passing through and enjoyed an early morning walk through the seemingly endless maze of mature trees, shrubs, ponds, etc. One of the great historic botanical gardens similar to those created during the colonial eras in other countries.
