One of the most beautiful places to swim in the world. The water is crystal clear is shallow and great for kids. Just beautiful. Great place to take a break after hiking in Padar island and cool down.

Personally i think this is just a patch of white sand, nothing to see and too much tourist around. We only stay here for 15mins.

It makes perfect Instagram photo and nothing more...

If you like walking tho, it's quite nice, as you can walk literally very far and the water remains waist deep. Just soak up the sun, stay on the beach for a while, take some instagram photos. That's probably sums the place.

Obviously this will be part of a full day Komodo tour or part of a several day liveaboard and believe me it will be a special part of the trip. Just the feeling of being in an "island" which you can walk from end to end in 5 min is something else.

This is also an amazing place for swimming/snorkelling as the water is so clear and clean. And yes, it does provide some great photo opportunities as well. Ask your guide for the best spots or just follow others and get that photo which clearly shows the crescent nature of the beach.

Just phenomenal - stunning beach, amazing snorkeling, mantas swimming around, tons of fish. There really isn't anything else to say except this place needs to be a part of any Komodo trip.

Not even an island, but a sand strip in the middle of the sea. Very beautiful and unusual. But there are many tourists here, everyone wants to take beautiful photos.

Taka Makassar’, is embossed sand in the middle of the ocean. It is not an island, but the land is not very broad but covered with white sand that is evenly distributed, surrounded by the sea with crystal-clear water. Opportunity for those who want to snorkel wide open. Said my friend who snorkels here, the fish are colorful and very contrast with the charming blue sea.

Advertised as a snorkeling spot for manta rays. The island itself is a tiny spot of beach surrounded by boats. We both snorkeled and scuba dived there in strong current without seeing much at all. Could get dangerous with the current and all the boat motors, particularly if you are not a strong swimmer.

An sand bank in the middle of the Ocean. A lovely experience if you have the Chance to be there by yourselves. The currents can get quite strong at high Tide so be sure to get to the boat in time.

Taka Makassar is so small. In fact, it is smaller than a soccer field. Since it features shallow water, big boats aren’t able to get near to this island. Due to this reason, tourists usually ride a smaller boat either from Manta Point or Komodo Island. The name of the boat is Sail Komodo. Due to its shallowness, you can swim comfortably. It is similar to a swimming pool. Not to mention the water has a stunning color, which is clear Tosca. It is the sign of narrow water, after all.

Exploring the Island
The most popular thing to do is to walk around the land. It features soft and beautiful sand. However, it is quite small. The other interesting activities are free diving and snorkeling. For the best holidays, you must come during the low tide. This way, you are able to play around the beach. Some tourists also like to take selfies here. One thing, you shouldn’t be too close to the sea. There are some jellyfishes nearby. You need to stay away from them.

As a tourist, you don’t have to get off from the boat. It is possible to enjoy the scenery from Sail Komodo boat. Though, most visitors come here for swimming and snorkeling. Don’t you like these water sports? You shouldn’t expect many fishes, though. The island features shallow water. That means you can only find some sea creatures like jellyfishes, starfishes, etc. There are some sea turtles, as well. The water also features small corals. They are all quite beautiful.

Nearby Attractions
Once you explore Taka Makassar, you can visit nearby tourist spots. What are they? You can visit these charms:

Manta Point
Komodo National Park
Pink Beach
Komodo Village
Gili Lawa
Loh Sebita Bay
Rocky Beach
How to Get to Taka Makassar
This small island is located near to Manta Point. It takes only 30 minutes from such location. As mentioned earlier, you can only reach it using a small boat. If you come from Komodo Island, you need to take much longer time. Make sure you choose the right tour guide and a reliable boat.
