Only less than 1 hour from KL and you are in the total nature. The most interesting part is mangrove one as you can see the mud crab and also the amphibie fishes. Amazing nature!

We went in the late afternoon. Vast and well kept place. It was secluded given that we went on a weekday. We saw a heron, humongous mud skippers and had fun trying to catch baby crabs in the mud. There were also the 2 groups of monkeys but stayed clear of them

My employer organised CSR last Thursday and we had amazing experience by planting the mangrove trees (besides been badly bitten by the jungle mosquitos!!)

The view was awesome and you will definitely love the nature surroundings.Beware of the naughty monkeys!I think it is best if you wear thin wind breaker and carry electric mosquito vape to avoid the mosquitos!

Kuala Selangor Nature park was established in 1987 by the Selangor government and the Malaysian Nature Society. The park includes coastal mangroves and secondary forest and a lagoon. There are good trails and observation hides.

We spent 2 hours or so having a nice stroll round the park. It’s no more than a couple of km with stops to see mudskippers, monkeys etc so our 5 yr old managed fine despite the heat.

Entry fee 9RM total for 4 of us. Clearly a park that has some good bits to see and s good message to spread but not enough money to do it properly. Signs were broken or damaged in many places, flip flops and trainers need removing from the mud etc.

Despite this, welcoming staff were present and we saw monkeys, mudskippers, monitor lizards, dragonflies, crabs etc. Worth a visit, if only to kill time while waiting for a nighttime firefly visit.

It was not worth the visit , considering the money spent and time taken to travel from kualalumpur to kuala selangor as the fireflies were very few and it was hard to take photographs .

Large room with clean and comfortable bed and excellent shower. Needed help with setting safe, written instructions would be useful.
Excellent choice of foods for all meals.
Night walk dangerous and didn’t see much.
Waterfall walk was horrendous in very wet conditions. You need to be fit and agile. It is not suitable for elderly or those wth poor sense of balance. It was really dangerous and we were totally unprepared for how difficult it was even though we had good walking boots etc.

This place is great and it is one of the most beautifully landscaped and must visit this place if you’re in Kuala Lumpur with your friends and family. The lush green surrounding is fantastic.

I really like this place. Nature beauty. You will walk a long walk inside the jungle where you will see many types of trees. The specialty of this place is the mangrove forest. Refer the map of the forest. There are a few spots (resting booth) to rest when you walk in the jungle. So no rushing. You can slowly explore the beauty of nature while resting.

Tips:
a. Wear hat/ cap
b. Wear sunburn protector cream
c. Bring water
d. wear sport attire

Don't
a. Throw rubbish in the forest as I can see water bottle in the forest.

More info can be found here in Kuala selangor website.
