We see people bringing food there, cooks meat there, throw plastics in the river. Cannot breathe fresh air anymore..all we get there is the smell of fish and chicken. Will people do the same if it was USA, Uk or Dubai? No control on plastic waste disposed in flowing water. Just collecting parking fee makes no sense.
Paper cups, plates, plastic bottles all come towards you once you are in the water.
Same with edamuri falls too.

Waste of money and time, there was no water in the falls. Water was filthy and it was a bad experience. The nearby shacks sell expensive food which was not even tasty

It is advisable to go and enjoy this place when the river is not overflowing! You can actually get down and enjoy the falls or walk through it!

For Balmuri falls, the photo speak of themselves. Its a fun place for all age, bathing in the Cauvery river water. Its a actually a check damn with water over flowing. You can choose to either go up to the check dam or just stay in the shallows. Nevertheless some waterproof footwear is recommended as the river bed is full of stones (some sharp ones and some slippery ones). There is not much food options around except for few fish stalls etc. Please do carry drinking water and some umbrella (if you don't plan to take a dip) as it gets pretty hot in the noon and there is not much shade available, guess mornings would be a good time to visit here.

This is just an ok ok artificial falls. For kids it is fun to play in water. I went solo, hence couldn't enjoy there.
Access to this falls is easy. Parking charges applicable. Food options also available. You can visit temple if interested. Dress change facilities available for both males & females.

Ranganathittu - Balmuri Falls - Brindavan Gardens is on the same stretch. Plan your journey accordingly.

before I start to review this place I think what matter most is when you reach there and how much access to fall and water you have.
we reached pretty early around 8:45 am and it was just 10 more ppl around thus giving you space and time to explore. The stones here are not slippery and its a fun to walk on the straight long stone where water flows . Later when we were doing boating there were police person who were not allowing ppl to walk on them, thus guess we were lucky.
Boating is ok, Will cost 50/- pp for half round and 100/- pp for full round.
We had a good time, but looking back its a ok place and as started with it matters how much you were able to do in there.

Anyone who plans here please check if there water flow is good or not. In summer water flow is less hence water is dirty and infectious. Otherwise it's good to watch anytime
