a group of 4 friends stayed at the cottage as a 'get away' for the weekend. What a surprise! Even though you are not far from the main road it feels as though you are in the country as the cottage faces the gully. Lovely peaceful spot. The cottage itself is also comfortable with a king size bed downstairs and... More

Overnewton Castle was the most fantastic venue for our wedding reception! The staff were amazing, very friendly & accommodating. The food was superb & every single guest commented on the large portion sizes & beautiful cooked food. Overnewton went above & beyond our expectations & I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful venue to have their wedding.

A couple of friends and I went there for High Tea on a Sunday. The venue was really nice, it had beautiful furnishings and created a warm atmosphere. The high tea commenced on time and all the food served was delicious. My favorite items were the scones. The service was great, staff were friendly and attentive. The only thing that... More

The location is a 19th century manor house, the dining room is set up with pretty chinaware and the food was very good. The high tea consists of bubbly, orange juice, tea and coffee, a 3 tier platter with sandwiches, pastries and sweets and a basket of mixed scones (fruit, herb and plain) served with butter, whipped cream and strawberry... We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Overnewton Castle and could not be happier. Matthew who was our wedding coordinator was amazing on the night and we could not have asked for anyone better. The food and service were 5*. Highly recommended

Firstly let me start by saying that the spar bath was wonderful. The staff seemed helpful enough when I spoke to them over the phone. The points that let it down: 1. We were supposed to get a package with champagne and a box of chocolates. We booked this for my birthday, we purposely didn't book a chocolate your because... More

We did the historical tour of with one of the recent occupants of the old house. It was very personal and interesting. It wasn’t Buckingham palace, but it was very emotional for us and our tour guide. Thank you! Afterwards we did the High Tea and we sat by the window looking out the garden. The food and beverage was... More

Overnewton Castle was built in 1849 when Keilor was sheep country. It's a magnificent sight. No-one expects to see a Scottish baronial castle in Keilor. The gatehouse has been fully retored but the castle is the standout. The castle is surrounded by mature trees and the reception area has a magnificent view out over the valley. Overnewton Castle, now privately... More

A pleasurable afternoon can be spent on a escorted Tour, exploring the 54 odd miss proportional size rooms of the property with the family still occupy the sprawling estate. which in it self is unusual. The approximately Two hour tour is very informative of life styles as they were way back, but with little remaining of the original fittings, other than attempts to... More
