Camped here for a weekend in the fall. Platform 1 site was nice not too close to our neighbors. Showers are $0.25 for 3 minutes but they get hot quick and have good water pressure. One advice tip would be to use the flush toilets...More

Went to see the tallest falls in NH. It was beautiful, the hike was about an hour and at times challenging for the kids. But the view was well worth it. You need to wear sneakers or hiking boots. A walking stick was also helpful...More

I had to cancel our reservation 4 days prior to arrival because of our seriously ill dog. If you cancel within the 7 day window you will lose your entire deposit which is half of the camping fee. Period. The manager was unwilling to cut...More

Stay in the Highland Center and hike out to the huts. You'll only fully appreciate a place like this if you can really get out there, not just doing day hikes from the road. The best trails are the ones that aren't accessible to day...More

Whenever I drive through spectacular Crawford Notch, I always stop at the Willey House Historical Site for a short walk (I'm not an avid hiker) and a breath of fresh air. The small info center as like a museum of the area's highlights and the...More

This is for the Willey House Historic site only. The site is small and there is a tiny museum which is really cool. Unfortunately, you can't tell it's a museum because it says information. There's no fee and it's pretty interesting. The rest rooms were...More

Today was a beautiful summer day in the White Mountains of NH. My husband and I wanted to find an easy hike that I could do with knees that were unpredictable. After consulting brochures, guides and the internet we decided to try Ripley Falls. All...More

When you drive through Crawford Notch, be sure to stop at the Wiley House and walk along the meadows of the Saco River. A lot of people come here to climb the moon tain trails and see the waterfalls, but the area by the Wiley...More

Enjoyed a very scenic drive through Crawford Notch. Hiked along a mile or so of trail through woods and along stream. Water levels higher due to heavy recent rains. Very pretty, nicely maintained trails. Very accommodating for novice hikers!

Yes, the only road charge is on Interstate 93 in Hooksett, NH far South of the Mountains. This is South of Concord. Some White Mountains National Forest parking areas (especially at trail heads) have honor system boxes for... More

Not that I am aware. The state site has campground maps only. Most/all guides of the area show them however. Your focus would be both the many small falls along Bemis Brook (worth the short side walk) and Aretha Falls. You... More
