Unspoilt and beautiful, Maroubra Beach is my favourite beach in Sydney. It is big enough to feel uncrowded on all but the busiest days, although parking is becoming increasingly difficult. There are good restaurants close by and a cafe and coffee shop on the beach....More
The beach was huge and had plenty of space for everyone. It was lacking trees & picnic tables, and the washing facilities left a lot to be desired, but the lifeguards provided a reassuring presence, and its a great open beach.

The beach is beautiful, never too crowded. Plenty of local cafes. The walk from Lurline Bay down through North then South Maroubra is worth travelling to alone. One of Sydney’s best beaches, if not the best.
