- Tiffany B288 contributionsFeed the Iguanas or pet them. This was the first time I experienced friendly iguanas! This was an amazing experience!I’ve never seen so many iguanas! If I were to guess, I would say 1000. This was an excellent experience because not one lizard will run from you. You also have the experience to hand feed the iguanas. The iguanas range from extra small to gigantic!Visited August 2023Travelled soloWritten 14 February 2024

We really enjoyed seeing all the iguanas (there were at least a hundred hanging out at any given time!) and even got a chance to feed the fish. During our visit of Roatan we were driving around the island and i tougher this was the moment to see iguana’s ... so we had a stop at this park.
People were very friendly but the $12 we payed a person is too much for what it was !!!
A lot of iguanas and some kinds of big fish in what they named the marine park ! This was nice to see but too expensive ....
I would not recommend this place at this price.
Sorry !

Walk among the thousands of relatively docile iguanas at Arch's park. The entrance fee helps in providing support of the park's operations. Interesting to get up close with so many iguanas in one place.

We visited Arch's iguana park during our cruise. It was actually my second time visiting, and I loved it as much the second time as the first!
First of all, Arch's contributions to the island are notable. On the island, people used to eat iguanas, and iguanas were going extinct due to unsustainable hunting practices. Well, to combat this problem, Arch started this little preserve years ago, and over time, it has thrived, along with all his iguanas. I was impressed to have seen him during the second visit working on the property. (I recognized him since his photo was on the sign.) From my understanding, he is over 60 years old, so his lifelong dedication to conservation really moved me.
Second, this place is a blast. On both visits, I had Pablo as a guide. I highly recommend him! He has a fun, upbeat personality and makes the visit interactive and memorable. He even took the time to show me one of the iguanas favorite foods - bananas - and, he let a little iguana sit on my head!
My whole family enjoyed our visit, and we will definitely be back whenever I visit Roatan again.

This little sanctuary is fun to visit! The iguanas get so excited when the guide hands you leaves to feed them. It can be a bit intimidating, but once I got comfortable it was really neat to interact with them. I even found that some enjoy being petted and loved on. We live on Roatan and I bring all our guests here.

Sooooo many iguanas!! The farm is doing an amazing job of repopulating the iguana numbers. The conservation centre did great at educating us as well as giving us some fun. We got to feed the iguanas and hold one that is unable to be rehabilitated and set free. We also got to hand feed tarpins. It was a blast!

This was an additional stop on our island tour and so glad we did it. There are literally thousands of iguanas and you even get to feed them. It is situated by the seaside and you get to see Tarpon being fed and happened to see a barracuda as well. I didn’t realise how friendly and docile these reptiles can be. Do watch where you walk as you may walk on one.

It seems like 200 iguanas are basking next to the tree- a sight you will never see anywhere else! Iguanas are unique and there are no two alike. You will be amazed at how friendly the Iguanas are. You will learn many great facts about Iguanas and have an opportunity to feed them if you wear pants! Don’t forget to wear pants. I was so excited to have the opportunity to feed the iguanas and pet them too! Usually iguanas run away do ver fast! These bright green reptiles let you pet them. 5 out of 5 stars!

We visited the iguana park while on a tour with Cleve Bodden. I absolutely recommend it! It’s great, especially for kids. Pablo was an fabulous guide and kept our whole group (of 20) laughing and having fun. He is very knowledgeable and definitely a great asset to the park!

Hello Doodlezzz,
The admission fee to just the iguana Park is $12/pp. If you need transportation it is $30/pp. That includes round trip transportation and admission into the iguana Park. If you’d like to snorkel and do the iguanas it is $27/pp. Thanks for the question and we hope to see you soon.

We just had it included in another full day tour we did through Daniel Johnson's hang out. there were no signs listing just a price for this part only. They do have a website so I would think it should be listed on the website what the fee will come out being if this is the only thing you want to do while there.

How much walking is involved? One of our family members has some mobility issues. Would it accommodate a scooter or a wheelchair?
Thanks in advance!
Written 30 December 2018
Hello Michelle, our iguana encounter is fully handicap accessible with a concrete parking lot and ramp to the iguanas. We have brand new bathrooms which are wheelchair accessible. There are steps down into the dock so it would not be possible to see the aquatic portion of the tour. Thank you for your question. Have a blessed day.

we will be visiting there November 22nd and were wondering if there is a place to purchase lunch and drinks there

Hi miss Dawn, we do not have a restaurant here at our park but there are lots of very good island style cuisine restaurants here on the island that you can choose from. Send me an email and I will give you all the options that we have available for our guests. Our email is on our TripAdvisor page. Thank you.

We are considering going on vacation to Roatan. I am NOT a lizard/iguana fan. Are they all over the island, in the all-inclusive resorts, beaches, towns, etc?
Written 9 May 2018
There are lots of iguanas here at our park, all of them are very very friendly towards you, they are more interested in the food we give you to feed them than they are in you. If you are considering coming to the island we offer exclusive customizable tours of the island, snorkeling and beach breaks. Feel free to email us for further details.

Does anyone know about the monkeys they keep, I see the pictures of them in cages, are they being rehabilitated?
Written 24 March 2017
They are rescued but don't believe that they will be turned loose. This is a great facility - even rescues and care for injured and old Iguanas. Well worth the visit.
Written 26 March 2017
Does anyone know how transportation would work to combine this with Daniel Johnson's monkey and sloth tour? Are they near enough that the driver of Daniel's would take us here also? Thanks
Written 1 March 2017
Hi there we would like to share with everyone that we now offer all your transportation needs. We also offer full island excursions and snorkeling excursions, if you would like for us to customize your time here on roatan send us and email.

Some of the reviews I have read said that the leaves to feed the iguanas were provided, other reviews said you had to purchase the leaves for $1 or $2. If there is a $10 per person admission fee, I would think that the leaves would be provided. Can you confirm what the policy is? Thanks.
Written 23 February 2017
Yes, it's $10 to get in and then $1 to feed them. It's a rescue center so it is funded through these fees. We did enjoy interacting with them, but we did not feed them. They like being held! No feeding necessary.
