It was the final leg of doing the Jesus Trail . I also got to look up at Mt Arbel everyday when I volunteered at Magdala( a site that you must visit while in the area . Great Hike and place to explore, check out the caves . Absolutely stunning to see a sunrise looking out to the Sea of Galilee! Where good shoes and bring your water ! You might get lucky and either see Fr. Juan from Magdala while your up there at sunrise, or maybe you can ask him to guide you up!! Also you can drive to the top and explore .. have a great time , just writing this makes me want to go back !!…

We climbed to the top and looked out over the Galilee. You can see where Jesus spent more than 80 percent of his ministry. Inspiring! Do it if you have 2 extra hours and decent shoes. I wore tennis shoes - you don't need to go to REI to do this!!

This is where Jesus fed 5000. The miracle of provision. The multiplication of the 5 loaves and 2 fishes took place at this very hill. You can actually see where the 5000 were seated and appreciate how it all happened. The bread and the fish multiplied in the disciples hands as they went about feeding the 5000. Praise the Lord! …

Fantastic views. This is the site of various battles which can be learned about. You can enter some of the fortifications and "hidey holes".
