Christ Church has been gutted (as of winter 2018/19) as a major refurbishment gets underway, to undo all the 1970s changes and turn it into a more adaptable space.
It's going to be impressive when it's finished; more than £1m is being spent.
Floors are being evened up for step-free, wheelchair-friendly access, with lift access to upper areas.

This is a church that always offers a warm welcome to all who come through its doors. As a family it offers great teaching for both children and adults, and has frequent events for all. The leadership is a great mix of different skills and experiences but all work through their Christian faith for the congregation and the community, with patience, love and open hearts. With a building project underway the future here is so exciting.

Unwelcoming. Shabby. Used to be better 10 years ago with previous vicar. Seems to have gained in numbers but lacks in many ways.

I helped with children's groups for 13 years now with youth group on a Friday. I love the involvement with homeless shelters and worldwide charity as well as at home . We continue a long tradition.

This Church is the heart of the local community and seems to organise lots of events and has a real sense of connection with the people. This is a Church of England Church. This church is very popular with the locals.

A friendly church. Lots of young families. All age children groups. A crèche for children up to 21/2 years of age. Lots of social events to join in with. A great place to worship and meet new friends.

We have been going here for over 7 years now with our two kids and we feel so at home. There is a real community feel, wonderful worship and a mix of ages. Great events too every so often as well with a fab leadership team.
