We walked through the garden and up to the waterfall. We came back on the Fynbos Trail along the side of the mountain - beautiful views and lovely colours. It is very peaceful and relaxing.

These gardens are wonderful. You can walk on the level or take some of the trails which need a bit more energy. Super views. Decent coffee shop. Plenty of parking. God value

We dropped in on our way back to Somerset West from Kleinmond, the gardens were well kept and there were some longer walks for a little more moderate exercise. We didn't have time to use the restaurant but the location was excellent.

The gardens are set on the edge of the mountainous area and have been sympathetically set into the landscape. It never seems to be busy so although it is linked to Kirstenbosch the gardens are considerably more peaceful. Are you feeling energetic? Walk up into...More

I visited the botanical gardens a few times. The flowers are beautiful and the scenery even more. Peaceful and relaxed atmosphere with a nice restaurant to enjoy some food. There is a nursery to buy indigenous plants

Visited the gardens early in the morning. The gardens are very well maintained and provide walks up into the hills and alongside the creek and dams in native forest

There are a few different path walks to do, The leopard path needs a good pair of walkingshoes. Nice waterfalls and of cause all different plants in the park. We recommend a visit here.

Hi Seeboo, there is sufficient water taps in the garden plus you can buy bottled water at the restaurant. As the others say why risk illness? Enjoy your visit.
