These gardens near Betty's Bay are absolutely wonderful! Starting near sea level they are set on a hillside which climbs steadily upwards and becomie wilder and more remote as you go further away from the entrance. Different sections of the garden concentrate on different types of habitat such as dunes, fynbos or water. Through the garden runs a small river,... More

What an amazimg spot with hundreds of finbos flower species. An amazing variety of different birds singing. Nice experience from bird sounds and water trickling. It took us almost an hour to walk the complete round and after we decided to rest and have a quick bite at the Red Disa restaurant which turned out to be a disappointment. We... More

Perfect time of year to hike beyond the cultivated garden and explore the well-maintained walking trails up the mountain: view the Disa Kloof Waterfall and the Fynbos route. The only disappointment was the Red Disa restaurant - no great expectations, but the service and the food offering was not on par with the quality of the national botanical garden.

The Garden is such a wonderful assembly of flowers and plants, all so easily viewed from the convenient walkways throughout! Beautifully laid out, well cared for, well-labeled!

A great place to visit, and unwind. Take a nice lovely walk around the gardens, and stop and have a nice drink. Highly recommended

What a beautiful place, well kept up with an amazing amount of flora. There are also short walks/hikes to do. Great treat if you are looking to do something other Sea and wine farms.

It was my 3rd visit to the Botanical Gardens. My previous visits was prior to the fire and on those occasions we walked op to the waterfalls. On the 3rd visit we could not really walk far and did not really stay long. We had an enjoyable lunch and also visited the nursery.

We stopped at the Botanical garden on our way from Kleinmond to Pringle bay. The entrance price is affordable and the gardens are beautiful. There is a comfortable walk thoughout the gardens and it is suitable for prams and wheelchairs as it is paved. We stopped for tea at the Red Disa and then saw that there was a waterfall... More

Although there is plenty to see that's wheelchair friendly there is quite a lot for the active walker. The garden area is very well maintained and clearly set out with quite a lot of information. I spent about an hour wandering around this area. Afterwards I had a lovely time doing the longer hiking trails. You need to be reasonably... More
