Visited here over Easter. Such a tranquil place with stunning views. What a beautiful setting for contemplation. There are nature walks to keep the children interested and a mouse hunt. In fact, go into the tea rooms and the furniture all has a mouse carved into it, Robert mousey Thompson furniture, we think? The architecture is amazing and it is... More

Was here April 7-11 for and it was a wonderful experience. A privilege to join the monks for mass and office. A lovely tour of the abbey with Fr Christopher. Thank you for your welcome, hospitality and inspiration.

We have called at this Restaurant twice for afternoon tea and found it to be not only the best value around, but a lovely selection of sandwiches and delicious cakes served by welcoming efficient staff. The Abbey and College is in the most spectacular setting. The grounds are vast with designated walks ranging from 5k upwards. Lots of parking space... More

Would recommend a visit if in the area. There is no cost and completely free. The volunteer in the visitor centre was extremely welcoming and able to answer any questions. The visitor centre is a real source of information about the site and the area. If you are interested in history you will be fascinated. The chapel is worth seeing... More

The visitor centre, the tea rooms, the crypt, the grounds in fact every part of the estate is worth visiting. A truly beautiful and calm place to go. It's history is very interesting. It's cider brandy is amazing. We will return to explore the walks and spend quality time there. This is a place everyone can enjoy.

It really did take my breath away and set me up for the rest of the weekend. Celebrating with the monastic community was a prompt introduction to the relaxation to come. In between sessions and services,... More
