I wish we would have explored this place before we tried in Accra. The Aburi Crafts Village is a decent size with many shops to check out. Lots of local woodwork and artisans crafting there while you shop. No sellers aggressively trying to sell you stuff (Mind you my partner is Ghanain so that may have made a difference). You still will want to haggle over prices but the atmosphere here is way more laid back than other spots we tried.

There are many types of arts/crafts here including clothing (and I even found a beautiful plus size dress which I of course bought), jewellery, keychains, bottle openers, baskets, furniture, etc. A wide variety of price points (always negotiable).

I have included a few pictures of a few shops and their keepers but please note I got permission to include them in this review.

I would rate this place as excellent if they had a cafe and bathrooms. But even without these things, it is a fantastic place and I urge you to check it out.

Great place to see and purchase some incredible woodcraft. Crafts of all kinds from masks, carved animals, beadwork, fabrics… the variety goes on. Friendly vendors request you view their wares but no pressure like other places. Many shops you purchase directly from the craftsperson. I alway enjoy meeting the talent behind the works. Not to be missed if in the area!
